We have developed a strong vision that embraces the core of PRME through our aspiration to be an internationally recognized Business School. Our aim is to have a world-leading research reputation across a range of disciplines, including: critical accounting; economics; human resources management; innovation systems; services marketing; and strategy, organisations and society. We will further develop our distinctive pedagogy producing a student experience that is highly rewarding and challenging.
Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Newcastle University Business School has developed responsible management education within modules across all levels of teaching. The responsible management education at all levels of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and MBA include CSR, business ethics, sustainable business, sustainable logistics. The School can demonstrate strong links between research and teaching that supports our commitment to the principles of responsible management. Further developments for responsible management curriculum development are planned over the next two years with new courses, student groups and reviews of current provision. As part of an elite group of Business Schools worldwide that holds ‘triple accreditation’ from the three internationally recognised accreditation bodies EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA, the quality of the School and our programmes is fully endorsed.
Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Our research is world-leading and the recent Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014 ranked Newcastle University Business School 14th for Research Power in the UK, with 97% of outputs recognised worldwide. Research is at the heart of everything we do and plays a vital role in how we engage with organisations and regional, national and international policy-makers. It provides the foundation for teaching at all levels, and helps to ensure our students are exposed to knowledge and approaches that reflect latest thinking and are grounded in practice.
