Period Covered: Apr 2015 to Jun 2017

The report outlines the activities undertaken by the HWZ in the past two years and shows what the key objectives will be for the next two years. A particular focus will be implementing the Giving Voice to Values as developed by Mary Gentile accross a wide range of academic offerings at our university.

Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

The Institute for Strategic Management: Stakeholder View is responsible for teaching and research in the area of corporate responsibility and sustainability. It holds the following lectures and courses in which the results from our research projects on stakeholder management, corporate responsibility and sustainability are integrated:

Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability

Research project “Good Practices of Stakeholder View” (co-supported by the European Academy of Business in Society (EABIS), Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA), the foundation Ecoscientia and the Forum Stakeholder View). After the publication of two books for practitioners and students in 2007 and 2008 (“Lizenz zum Managen” in German in the book series of HWZ, “Sustainable Success with Stakeholders” in English by Palgrave), a third book for the scientific community (“Stakeholders Matter”) will be written now by the three authors Prof. Sachs, Prof. Ruehli and Dr. Kern. A contract of publication for this book already could be concluded with Cambridge University Press. Duration 2009 - 2011.

Research project “Enhancing India’s Sustainable Economic and Social Development Pursuing a Stakeholder-Oriented Management Approach” under the guidance of Prof. Sachs and Prof. Ruehli from HWZ and Prof. Krishnan and Prof. Lakshman from Jain Group University in Bangalore, Karnataka. Co-financed by the Federal State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER). Duration 2009 - 2011.

Research project “ITN: Managerial and Business Model Innovations for Sustainable Development”. Program of cooperation of EABIS: HWZ as academic partner together with leading European Business Schools. In the stage of application as EU-project. Duration 2010 - 2012.

Research project “Evaluation and Measurement of Effectiveness of Stakeholder En-gagement”: HWZ as the leading house under the guidance of Prof. Sachs in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) and with corpora-tions from the pharmaceutical and food industries. Supported by the Confederation’s Innova-tion Promotion Agency (CTI). Duration 2009 - 2011.

Research project “Compatibility of Occupation and Familiy”. Application submitted to-gether with the Institute for Equalization of Woman and Men from the Canton of Zurich to the Foundation of the Raiffeisen bank. Guidance by Prof. Sachs as female promoter for Com-patibility of Occupation and Family in the canton of Zurich.
