The concepts and practice of sustainability and responsibility have been highlighted and operationalised through the Faculty’s infrastructure
and actions which embrace students, staff, external partners and stakeholders. These developments are outlined within the PRME Principles framework.
Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
The Faculty Of Business Enterprise and Lifelong Learning at the University of Chester has as its core themes Sustainability and Responsibility and this underpins all aspects of its work. The Faculty is one year old and a result of the merger of two Faculties, Business and Enterprise and Lifelong Learning.
The key driver of the Faculty is quality and ethical public service
WE have been re-designing all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to have strong sustainable and responsibility components built into all programmes. All Faculty reviews will have this as a core criteria for programme delivery and design.
Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
We currently work with a number of government agencies on sustainable projects and corporate responsibility. With our local Coucil we will be stimulating the development of a sustainable Chester City and sub Region. We are working with the Department of Work and Pensions on quality leadership to ensure its 16 millon users have the right entitlement awarded them as consumer citizens.
In addition we are working with a number of Local and Regional government agencies teaching and developing sustainability and innovation in mangemnt.
We also are in the process of appointing our first doctoral students in CSR and this will also be taught on our new DBA and Dprof Programmes
