Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Since it was founded in 1967, the Association of MBAs has grown a vibrant network of MBA students and graduates from leading business schools around the world. Having started life as a membership organisation for MBA graduates we soon came under pressure from our members in the 1980s to safeguard the standard and reputation of the MBA by the introduction of Accreditation Criteria based on the highest standards of education and training. Now the Association has accredited MBA programmes at 158 business schools in 72 countries and is recognised as the international quality standard for MBA programmes.
Our accreditation criteria are kept under regular review and currently include a requirement for the MBA curriculum to include CSR as a core component.
Achievements Research Development in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
The next review of our MBA Accreditation Criteria will begin in 2009 with a view to the introduction of new criteria in 2010. The review will involve consultation with companies, business schools and all those with an interest in management education. The aim is to ensure that we use this consultation exercise as an opportunity to raise the issue of responsible management and encourage discussion of the topic with all stakeholders with a view to informing the development of our 2010 Accreditation Criteria.
The Association also has a newly established Research and Consultancy Centre which provides opportunities for high quality research with the Association's stakeholders, including companies, in the field of corporate responsibility and sustainability.
