Achievements Curriculum Integration in the Field of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
-Hanken offers an interdisciplinary study module in Corporate Responsibility at both its Campus. The module is 26 ECTS can be taken as a minor subject in the bachelor’s degree. For more information see hanken.fi/csr
-On the BSc and MSc level Hanken offers a range of courses that specifically focus on issues concerning corporate responsibility, ethics and sustainable development. Examples include courses such as Accounting, Governance and Sustainability; Corporate Sustainability; CSR: From principles to practice; Nordic Course in Humanitarian Logistics; Gender, Management and Organisation , Intellectual Property and Competition Law.
- Among the MSc programmes offered in English at Hanken, especially the Master’s Degree Programme in Intellectual Property Law and the Programme in Corporate Governance can be seen to emphasise responsible leadership.
-Many CR-related courses co-operate with the student club Net Impact Hanken, both in terms of what topics are covered as well as coordination of events that are both integrated into the course and open to other students, such as panel discussions and film events.
-An indicator of success is the rise in student interest for CR, which can be seen in the number of bachelor’s and master’s theses written on the topic. CR related theses have been written within all different departments.
-In 2009 interviews with all heads of departments and selected course instructors was be carried out to map views and perspectives on CR and ethical management education, and what the future plans are in terms of further incorporation in different subjects.
-Hanken has mapped of CR/ethics related courses at Hanken’s partner universities to facilitate course selection for outgoing exchange students. There is a mandatory international exchange period for all of Hanken's MSc degree students.
