Sustainability Education Innovator Rick Bunch Appointed as Managing Director of Erb Institute at University of Michigan

The Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise at the University of Michigan announced on September 17 that it has named Rick Bunch, one of the foremost sustainable business education experts in the world, as its managing director. Bunch brings more than 20 years of experience in sustainable business education to Erb, which celebrates its 15th anniversary this year and is poised to continue on a trajectory of significant growth. Bunch comes to the Erb Institute from The Aspen Institute, where he launched the Chinese CSR Business Education Initiative, which helped Chinese business schools and companies develop corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. Prior to his tenure at The Aspen Institute, Bunch was executive director of the groundbreaking Bainbridge Graduate Institute in Washington state, the first independent business school focused on sustainable business in the U.S. Bunch fostered tremendous success at Bainbridge, where he oversaw the development of a unique, rigorous sustainability-focused curriculum, recruited more than 20 faculty from leading business schools, and tripled enrollment numbers within just two years.
